After a turbulent 2007, in which I was elected to Stroud Town Council for ‘Stroud Central’ Ward, I am looking forward to the challenges of the District Elections.

I have decided to join the mass ranks of the ‘Bloggers’ someone might be interested!

 So how to start? I suppose I should say I’ve had a fantastic Christmas and I’m looking forward to a Happy new year here with my friends and family.

 I’m lucky.  There are people in my ward who will be sleeping rough tonight.  There are human beings who are on the edge, in material and spiritual senses of the expression.  People with substance abuse problems, homeless and perhaps in mental distress or maybe just lonely.  Soceity’s ‘broken ones’ often get forgotten.

 This motivates me.  I’ve got to try and make ’some kind’ of difference.  We all have too….
