A few days ago I wrote about some of the positive things happening in Botswana.  There is another side to the story of Africa.

Darfur.

We sometimes here about starvation or civil war in some part of Africa, but the human  disaster in Sudan slips in and out of the Media’s focus.   I would like to pay tribute to the commitment of the people who continue to demand our attention for Darfur.  Mr Spielberg is boycotting the ceremonies of the Chinese Games in an attempt to get that government to do more.  Our own MP David Drew has done a great deal as well.  There are many others, aid workers, peacekeepers, politicians…

So I will pray for Darfur and I will remember what is happening even when it isn’t in the headlines.
