Or the day, depending on orbital mechanics and testosterone levels in the Pentagon.
Yes I’m talking about the plan to ‘blow up’ that pesky US spy Sat which is de-orbiting somewhere, sometime soon…
When I studied Space Science at University I was told about the dangers of ’space junk’ and how, increasingly, manned and unmanned space flight was becoming more difficult due to the ‘junk.’
With British Space policy possibly changing towards more manned missions one has to wonder why the American military are risking an explosion in Low Earth Orbit? …. All those sharpe objects!
Can sanity prevail?
This, incidentally, is also a good time to look at the ‘Missile Defence Shield’ or ‘STAR WARS II’ as it is affectionately known across the pond. What would happen to our economy if we start ‘blowing things up?’… let alone the damage it already does to our relationship with Moscow.
Sleep safe tonight… It may never happen….!
